Twisted Tales

Twisted Tales

Little Red Riding Hood skipped to Coles, met the 3 bears cooking tomato soup, while waiting for the beanstalk to grow…
A fun interactive storytelling session where everyone’s favorites get mixed up, and a little magic is needed to put the stories right again.

Clowning Around

A show combining physical comedy, juggling, magic tricks, and interactive play with dress-ups.
Children are encouraged to move their bodies, try their hands at juggling, have a laugh and step into the shoes of a circus clown – literally!

Animal
Magic

Animal puppets, interactive storytelling and magic tricks turn books into a comedy show.
This engaging show encourages children to explore & experience their favourite animal picture books coming by bringing them to life.

Make-your-own Workshop

Our specialty is working with you and finding out what your audience needs, or what your curriculum is so we can tailor a show that’s the perfect extension to your class learning.
So no more forcing a square through a circle when it comes to entertainment.

All packages can be modified to suit the age group of the audience.
Audiences 3-5 enjoy fast and lively short productions with simple hands on involvement.
Pre-schoolers love high energy and lots of laughs with interaction.
Junior school children are ready for slightly more challenging ideas livened up with laughter and comedy.
We haven't forgotten the under 3's and playgroup groovers. Something silly and simple works beautifully!

Workshops need to be interactive

‘Gannadoo’ workshops that work!

At Gannadoo we believe that the best shows for children are the shows where they get to ‘be involved’.
Just like with adults, if you want your audience to remember your message you need to create a performance that is memorable. The best way to achieve that is to create a show that is ‘engaging’, ‘fun’, and most of all ‘enjoyable’.
Everyone learns best through laughter, and we remember things that made us feel ‘good’.
So it stands to reason then that our key ingredients for any show or workshop are as follows:

  • FUN
  • LAUGHTER
  • INTERACTION
  • ENGAGEMENT

oh – and if we think it needs a bit more… some extra laughter on top!

Typical run time

Standard shows are 30 minutes long and are great for audiences of 20 or fewer children. Our workshops are designed to run for a minimum of 45 minutes and typically run for an hour. The workshops include hands on activities that extend the themes within the comedy show that precedes the activity.

Gannabee a clown

A standard format would look something like:

  • 20-25 minutes of comedy show on subject
  • 15-20 minutes of hands on learning / group activity
  • 10-15 minutes of idea consolidation and comedy close
